Climb Up and Over

  • Designed a play structures for a nature themed setting
  • Crafted using realistic textures that mimic logs & rocks
  • Constructed with durable materials that stand up to the elements

Challenge

The mission of the county was to give visitors the feeling of being immersed in a natural setting. They wanted the new addition of the park to bring visitors to engage and be active. They wanted the new site improvement for the community to have pieces that would allow for children of all ages to play.

Solution

Our team crafted safe play structures that look like real logs and rocks made to withstand years of climbing kids and harsh climate. We used super-tough glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) to create log crawls, stump steppers, and climbing rocks. Using GFRC allows our artists to construct textured pieces that mimic the look and feel of actual textures. The material is also fire resistant and low maintenance, making it an ideal choice for the natural setting.

Result

This custom playground blends beautifully with the surrounding woodland, yet it still provides a safe place for kids to move, climb, jump, and imagine.
