Cemetery Point Park

• Provided a T-Rex Skull sculpture for the park in Cedar Key

Challenge

As part of the Florida’s Nature Coast Conservancy, the City of Cedar Key asked us to design a sculpture that would appeal to all of the locals and tourists. The city continues to grow and develop their recreational areas by providing trails, picnic areas and playgrounds.

Solution

To meet the customer's request, we crafted a T-Rex Skull sculpture based on a real T-Rex skeleton. The skull was made using glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) and filled to add weight and strength. This material is durable, long-lasting and environmentally friendly.

Result

Standing out, the prehistoric sculpture is sure to add to the beauty of this local park. Anyone visiting won't be able to resist stopping to check it out and take a few photos. Kids love the realism and that they get to climb a dinosaur head. Parents appreciate the safety aspect and park attendants love the low maintenance this piece requires. It is a stunning piece for all to enjoy.
